Default Transportation, Community and Preservation grants program notice

Fellow KAPAns -
A colleague w/ the League of American Bicyclists sent me a notice of this Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) grant program.
Could be of benefit in these times of fiscal austerity...
If applying - good luck

Mike Galbraith

Greetings!
I am writing this morning to point you to a little-known pot of money - the Transportation, Community and System Preservation grant program. A solicitation is out to give out $29M. "The program provides funding for a comprehensive initiative including planning grants, implementation grants, and research to investigate and address the relationships among transportation, community, and system preservation plans and practices and identify private sector-based initiatives to improve those relationships." - FHWA website.
Go to http://www.fhwa.dot.gov/discretionary/tcsp2012info.htm for more info for details. This closes January 6th.

Best Regards,

The Bicycle Friendly America Team
